Imperial Challenge – Saturday, April 5, 2025

📍 Location: Breckenridge Recreation Center → Peak 8 → Base of Peak 7

The Imperial Challenge is back! This unique, wild, and fun pseudo-triathlon is a true test of endurance, a rite of spring in Breckenridge, and a community celebration of uphill adventure. Whether you’re a seasoned competitor or just want to challenge yourself, this is an event like no other!

Race Details:

🏁 Start: Participants begin in town (9,600 ft) and race to the base of Peak 7 on foot or by bike.
⛷️ Transition: Switch to uphill skis or a splitboard with skins for the climb up to the top of Peak 8 (12,987 ft).
🎿 Final Leg: A downhill sprint back to the base of Peak 7 to finish strong!

With nearly 4,000 feet of elevation gain over 10 miles, this course is no easy feat—but it’s all about community, camaraderie, and a little friendly competition!

🎭 Costumes encouraged! Spandex, tutus, and creative race-day outfits make this event even more fun.
