Summer officially returns to the mountain when Epic Discovery opens for the season at Breckenridge Ski Resort.

Beginning June 12, visitors can once again enjoy many of Breckenridge’s most popular summer activities at the base of Peak 8. Families, outdoor enthusiasts, and visitors of all ages can spend the day exploring mountain attractions, enjoying alpine scenery, and making the most of the start of summer.

During opening weekend, Epic Discovery activities will be available at Peak 8. Guests can enjoy favorites such as the Gold Runner Coaster, Alpine Slide, climbing experiences, family activities, and other mountain adventures designed for all ages.

What to Know Before You Go

This year’s opening weekend comes with one important note.

Epic Discovery will be operating June 12–15; however, the BreckConnect Gondola will not begin summer operations until June 16. Shuttle and ground transportation options will help visitors access Peak 8 during the opening weekend period.

Additionally, the Colorado Chair is scheduled to open on June 18. Once operational, it will provide access to hiking trails, mountain biking, Alpine Camp, Vista Haus, and additional mountain experiences.
