The 19th Annual CAIC Benefit Bash 2026 returns to Breckenridge on Saturday, December 12, from 6–10 PM at the Riverwalk Center.

Hosted by Friends of the Colorado Avalanche Information Center (Friends of CAIC), this annual fundraiser brings together Colorado’s skiing, snowboarding and backcountry communities for an evening supporting avalanche safety.

First, enjoy live music, cold beer and the company of fellow mountain enthusiasts. Then, explore the raffle, silent auction and outdoor vendors while helping support an important Colorado cause.

🏔️ What’s the Difference Between CAIC and Friends of CAIC?

The Colorado Avalanche Information Center (CAIC) provides avalanche forecasts, observations and safety information to help people understand avalanche conditions throughout Colorado.

Meanwhile, Friends of CAIC is a nonprofit organization that raises funds to support avalanche forecasting, awareness and education.

Although the two organizations have distinct roles, they share a common goal: helping Colorado’s mountain community make safer decisions.

In addition, Friends of CAIC supports outreach programs, educational resources and forecasting operations.

Therefore, events like the CAIC Benefit Bash 2026 help connect the backcountry community with the people and programs working to improve avalanche safety.

🎭 Riverwalk Center and Breck Create

The event takes place at the Riverwalk Center, located at 150 W. Adams Avenue in downtown Breckenridge.

The Riverwalk Center is one of Breckenridge’s signature performance venues. In addition, its downtown location makes it convenient for visitors exploring Main Street.

The venue is managed by Breck Create, the nonprofit arts and cultural organization supporting creative experiences throughout Breckenridge.

Although Friends of CAIC organizes the fundraiser, Breck Create plays an important role in the local arts and events community through its management of the Riverwalk Center.

🍔 Where to Eat Before the CAIC Benefit Bash in Breckenridge

Heading to the Riverwalk Center for the CAIC Benefit Bash 2026? Fortunately, Kenosha Breck is just a short walk away.

Located at 301 S. Main Street, Kenosha offers house-smoked BBQ, burgers, steaks and plenty of cold beer.

Since the event begins at 6 PM, stopping in for an early dinner is an easy way to start the evening.

Plus, you’ll be right downtown, so there’s no need to drive across town before the fundraiser.

Please note that Kenosha does not offer its regular Happy Hour on Saturdays. However, our full menu and bar are available during regular operating hours.
