❄️ Ullr Fest 2026 in Breckenridge – Praise & Powder!

Ullr Fest 2026 returns to Breckenridge December 17–19, bringing three days of Viking helmets, winter traditions and a whole lot of snow-loving spirit to downtown.

Now celebrating its 63rd anniversary, Ullr Fest honors Ullr, the Norse god of snow, with one simple request: send us a winter full of powder.

First, the community gathers for the crowning of the Ullr King and Queen. Then, the celebration takes over Main Street with the legendary Shotski® attempt, Ullr Parade and evening bonfire.

Meanwhile, the Rockstar Energy Open returns to Breckenridge Ski Resort for another weekend of world-class snowboarding, music and mountain culture.

Best of all, much of the celebration happens just steps from Kenosha Breck, right at Main Street and Adams Avenue.

👑 Thursday, December 17 – Ullr King, Queen, Shotski & Parade

Thursday is the heart of Ullr Fest, and this year promises another unforgettable afternoon in downtown Breckenridge.

3:00 PM – Crowning of the Ullr King & Queen

The celebration begins at Blue River Plaza, where two Breckenridge locals are recognized for their contributions to the community and their love of winter.

3:30 PM – Breckenridge Distillery Shotski® Attempt

Next, the party moves to Main Street for the legendary unofficial world’s longest Shotski® attempt.

Organized by the Breckenridge Distillery and Breckenridge Mountain Rotary, the event brings together hundreds of participants to raise funds for local causes.

Participation requires advance registration and is limited to adults 21 and older. Meanwhile, spectators can enjoy the excitement from along Main Street.

4:00 PM – Ullr Parade

Then, Viking helmets, creative floats and plenty of Breckenridge personality take over Main Street.

The Ullr Parade is free to watch, and it’s one of the town’s most recognizable winter traditions.

5:00–7:00 PM – Ullr Bonfire

Finally, the celebration moves to the East Sawmill Parking Lot for the annual Ullr Bonfire.

As the flames rise, the community gathers to honor winter and call for a season full of snow.

🏂 Friday, December 18 – Rockstar Energy Open Returns

While Thursday belongs to the Vikings, Friday brings a different kind of winter celebration.

The Rockstar Energy Open returns to Breckenridge Ski Resort December 18–20, 2026, featuring professional snowboarders competing on a creative, rider-designed course.

In addition, the free event includes live music, art installations and an interactive fan village.

Friday’s festivities are also expected to include a film festival and concert at Blue River Plaza.

Although the competition is a separate event, it overlaps with Ullr Fest and adds another reason to celebrate winter in Breckenridge.

Specific competition times, performers and additional details will be announced by the organizers.

⛸️ Saturday, December 19 – Ice Skate With Ullr & More Winter Fun

The winter celebration continues Saturday with Ice Skate with Ullr at the Stephen C. West Ice Arena.

This family-friendly activity gives skaters another opportunity to celebrate the season. Skate rentals are available, although admission fees apply.

Meanwhile, the Rockstar Energy Open continues at Breckenridge Ski Resort with more snowboarding action and festival activities.

So, whether you’re heading to the rink or watching the pros on the mountain, there’s still plenty happening around town.

Check the official event schedules for updated times and locations.

🍻 Celebrate Ullr Fest Weekend at Kenosha Breck

Of course, Ullr Fest 2026 wouldn’t be complete without a little food, beer and good company.

Located at 301 S. Main Street, Kenosha Breck puts you right in the middle of downtown’s winter celebration.

Before the parade, stop in for house-smoked BBQ, burgers or a cold draft beer. Then, when you’re ready to warm up, we’ve got plenty of hearty mountain-town favorites.

Plus, with approximately 30 beers on tap, there’s no shortage of ways to toast the snow gods.

Whether you’re a longtime local, a Viking for the weekend or simply someone hoping for more powder days, Kenosha is a convenient place to gather.

Please note: Kenosha is not the organizer of Ullr Fest or the Rockstar Energy Open. We’re simply happy to celebrate these Breckenridge traditions with the community.
