43rd Annual Breckenridge July Art Festival
Breckenridge July Art Festival Returns This Summer
The 43rd Annual Breckenridge July Art Festival returns to downtown Breckenridge July 2–4, 2026, kicking off one of the busiest—and most colorful—weekends of the summer.
Set against the backdrop of the Rocky Mountains at Main Street Station and The Village at Breckenridge, this nationally ranked fine art festival brings together talented artists from Colorado and across the country. Visitors can browse original artwork in 13 fine art categories, meet the artists behind the work, and enjoy a relaxed outdoor atmosphere just steps from historic Main Street.
With free admission, family-friendly activities, and Independence Day weekend in full swing, it’s one of our favorite ways to experience Breckenridge in July.
Discover Original Artwork from Talented Artists
One of the things that makes the Breckenridge July Art Festival special is the opportunity to meet the artists themselves.
Instead of simply walking through an art show, visitors can talk with painters, photographers, sculptors, jewelers, ceramic artists, and other creators about their inspiration, techniques, and creative process. Many artists are happy to answer questions, demonstrate their work, and help visitors find the perfect piece to take home.
Artwork spans 13 fine art categories, including:
- Paintings
- Photography
- Jewelry
- Sculpture
- Ceramics
- Glass Art
- Woodworking
- Mixed Media
- Fiber Arts
- Metalwork
- Fine Crafts
- Functional Art
- Digital Art
Because every artist brings something different, no two visits are ever quite the same.
A Perfect Independence Day Weekend Tradition
There’s already plenty happening in Breckenridge over the Fourth of July holiday, and the July Art Festival fits naturally into the celebration.
Spend the morning browsing original artwork, explore historic Main Street, enjoy the mountain scenery, and take in the festive energy that fills downtown throughout the holiday weekend.
This year’s festival also coincides with Breckenridge Wildflower Week, including a colorful floral installation celebrating Colorado’s spectacular alpine wildflowers.
Whether you’re visiting for the weekend or spending a few days in Summit County, the July Art Festival is an easy addition to your summer itinerary.
Free Admission & Family-Friendly Fun
One reason this event has remained a favorite for more than four decades is its welcoming atmosphere.
Admission is completely free, making it easy for families, couples, locals, and visitors to spend an afternoon exploring artist booths, enjoying live demonstrations, and discovering one-of-a-kind artwork together.
Enjoy Everything Downtown Breckenridge Has to Offer
