Come prove your endurance and dedication to the cold at the Ullr Ice Plunge. Plunge into the frozen depths of the Maggie Pond and fully immerse yourself in winter’s chill. There will be music, food, drinks and laughter. We will also hold a competition for the Best Plunge Costume so come dressed to impress. The winner will receive their own decorated Ullr Helmet. Too afraid of being cold? Don’t worry there will be a heated changing room and even a hot tub open to anyone willing to accept the challenge! Day-of registration.

4:00 pm – 6:00 pm – National Cocktail Throwdown Finale
The Breckenridge Distillery brings nine of the best bartenders in the nation to the snowy Rocky Mountains Friday, January 11. Celebrating the original bottle service and large format punch making, the winners of nine regional barkeep competitions will compete at a grand finale competition called Punch Kings “Last Call”.

Bringing you the perfect après after a day on the slopes, the Cochon555 regional barkeep Punch King champions take the stage at 4 p.m. to prepare their winning bourbon punch for eight notable judges using two spotlight ingredients: bourbon from the renowned Breckenridge Distillery in Colorado and Angostura Bitters from Trinidad.

The Breckenridge Distillery greets guests with a welcome punch from Liquid Chef Billie Keithley while competitors are preparing their punches. During the competition, guests are offered punches crafted by nine regional bartenders and small bites from the Breckenridge Distillery Restaurant. Only one bartender will be crowned the “Last Calls” Punch King [or Queen].

8:00pm – Comedy Night
Come laugh out loud with professional stand-up comedians, Phil Palisoul and Elliot Woolsey, at Ullr Fest’s Comedy Night.

Phil Palisoul has made his living as a comedian for 25 years. In that time, he’s been all over the world, performing in such far flung places as Hong Kong, China, and Juno, Alaska. He recently toured Afghanistan to perform for the troops with Comics on Duty. He’s worked with and won the respect of some of the biggest names in comedy, like Jerry Seinfeld, Drew Carey and George Lopez. His list of corporate clients is long and illustrious and includes GMC, Coca-Cola, and IBM.

Elliot Woolsey is a larger than life stand-up comedian from Denver, Colorado. Towering at an unnatural 6 5, and weighing in at barely-healthy 250 pounds, Elliot’s high-energy, commanding stage presence, and relatable material has made him a rising star in the Denver comedy scene. Elliot is the winner of the 2012 Comedy Works new faces contest, and has become a regular at the club, opening for amazing acts like T.J Miller, Todd Glass, and Josh Blue.
