SUMMARY:USA Pro Cycling Challenge - Stage 2
DESCRIPTION:USA Pro Challenge Stage 2 \nAugust 18\, 2015 10:45 AM\n Start time: 10:55 am; Approximate finish: 3:04-4:44 pm \nAs the Pro Challenge says goodbye to its overall start host\, Steamboat Springs\, it welcomes a new member to the family with the race’s first visit to Arapahoe Basin and Loveland Pass. \nLeaving Steamboat Springs there is little time to settle in before the racers have to tackle Rabbit Ears Pass. From there\, this familiar route heads south through Kremmling\, around the Green Mtn. Reservoir\, and continues through Silverthorne and Dillon. Unlike years past\, the 2015 Pro Challenge will then turn east and suffer 5 miles up Loveland Pass to Arapahoe Basin. Look for jerseys to change hands\, dreams fulfilled\, and expectations dashed on this new mountain top finish.

SUMMARY:USA Pro Cycling Challenge - Stage 1
DESCRIPTION:USA Pro Challenge Stage 1 \nAugust 17\, 2015 11:30 AM\nStart time: 11:40 am; Approximate finish: 3:13-4:38 pm \nAfter a brief venture onto the rolling roads of Routt County in 2013\, the USA Pro Challenge knew it had to get back there for a classic circuit race. The quiet roads offer straights\, twists\, and a few rather steep surprises. Match that with fan favorite host city Steamboat Springs\, and you have the makings of a great opening stage. \nThis 49-mile circuit will be completed twice by the peloton creating great spectator opportunities both in Steamboat Springs and on route locations like the Rt. 27 KOM climb and the town of Oak Creek. Will Steamboat Springs be treated to another classic sprint finish or will the challenges of Routt County create an opportunity for a surprise first yellow jersey of 2015? Either way\, the fans of Steamboat Springs will be treated to quite a show.

SUMMARY:Lincoln's Birthday
DESCRIPTION:Lincoln’s Birthday is a legal holiday in some U.S. states\, including Arizona\, California\, Connecticut\, Illinois\, Indiana\, Missouri\, New Jersey\, and New York. It is observed on the anniversary of Abraham Lincoln’s birth on February 12\, 1809. \nIn other states\, a celebration of Lincoln’s birthday is combined with a celebration of Washington’s Birthday or as part of Presidents’ Day. These celebrations occur on the same day as the Federal holiday\, the third Monday of February\, and not on Washington’s or Lincoln’s actual birthday.

SUMMARY:Budweiser International Snow Sculpture Championships
DESCRIPTION:Stomping Week: January 19 to 23\, 2015 \nBudweiser International Snow Sculpture Championships: January 27 to 31\, 2015 \nSnow Sculpture Viewing Week (weather permitting): January 31 to February 8\, 2015 \nJanuary 19 to 23\, 2015 Technical Week – Watch how the blocks are built or even volunteer to help by calling Heather Bridges\, Chief of Volunteers at 970.547.3100 x3 or email Heather Pease. Artists are preparing to stay up all night to do detail work and the atmosphere is celebratory. Why not spend a night or two and catch the whole weekend? You won’t regret seeing the sculptures evolve and witnessing the awards given out \nJanuary 31 to February 8\, 2015 Viewing Week – (Please note that visitors are welcome to the event anytime from January 27 to February 8). During viewing week\, the artists are done sculpting but the sculptures are here for your viewing pleasure. Weather permitting the snow sculptures will stay up until the night of Sunday\, February 8\, 2015 until approx. 9pm and then they will disappear under the darkness of night- just as magically as they appeared!
