Those visiting Breckenridge during the December 5th kick-off weekend can expect a “Santa-fied” community decked out in Santa suits\, a festival of trees creating a winter wonderland\, and animations aimed to surprise and delight! For  over  57 years\, the snow-obsessed community of Breckenridge has strapped on Viking helmets and paid tribute to Ullr (rhymes with cooler)\, the Norse god of snow\, in hopes of being rewarded handsomely with an abundance of snowfall. Legend has it\, this yearly ritual is  the reason Breckenridge is blessed with 360+ inches of annual snowfall (that’s over 30 feet!). Instead\, Breckenridge is expanding the celebration with the new Ten Days of ULLR happening December 9 – 19\, 2020.
